ONLINE  ENRICHMENT COURSES



OFFERED TO GRADES 6-8

All enrichment courses are offered  

Monday-Friday from 1 pm - 3 pm.  These courses are taught on a two-hour block schedule after the morning academic course offerings.

 

INTRODUCTION TO PHOTOGRAPHY

Students will learn about Design Elements, how to compose for a good photo, learn about their camera settings, have fun artistically expressing themselves, as well as how to digitally edit a photo using software. 

Materials needed to participate in this course: 

The student will need a camera or phone with a camera Internet Access, Google / One Drive Account, an Instagram account, a free photo editing program, an at-home color printer, or access to a photo printing service. 

 
 

HANDS ON SCIENCE

Students will have fun learning about chemistry, biology, and physics participating in lab experiments with the guidance of their instructor. All necessary materials will be provided for students to participate in a variety of hands-on learning labs.

 

BEGINNING CHINESE

Students will have fun learning to understand and to speak Mandarin Chinese through conversation, songs, games, and activities. In this introductory course, students will be introduced to basic simplified Chinese characters, Chinese culture, and the Chinese pronunciation system.

 

BEGINNING SPANISH

Se aprende haciendo - in doing we learn. Have fun learning to speak, read, and write a new language.  Develop basic Spanish vocabulary.  Very helpful for students who plan to study Spanish in the future.
